After many years of running marathons to raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer I have decided to try something different. I am planning to travel to Tanzania (Februray 8th, 2014) with an amazing group of supporters in an effort to stand on the "roof of africa" and highlight the needs of 28 million survivors around the world battling cancer.
The funds and awareness raised will directly impact the lives of people battling cancer now.
Climbing Kilimanjaro has always been of great interest to me and now it will become a reality. As such, I am hoping to raise a minimum of $20,000 which will fund direct navigations services for hundreds of individuals and families who are diagnosed with cancer and need help now. Some will need financial assistance. Others will need emotional support. Many will need to find a clinical trial. Still others will want information on fertility preservation. Whatever their needs, we are here to help them through an incredibly challenging and trying time. Everything we do is based on the needs of people with cancer and their loved ones. The future of our work looks bright and we are excited to serve more and more people in need.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and your investment in our mission. It means the world to those whom we serve and it is only possible as a result of your kindness.
Each and every day we hear from people who have been told that they have cancer. And each and every day we prioritize their needs and serve them to the best of our ability.
You make it all possible and we are truly grateful.
As simply one survivor I thank you for your kind consideration.
Together we can make an enormous difference in the lives of so many.
